The role is the primary finance partner to Marketing, Sales, and CX, helping those teams size investments and driving accountability for results. The role is both an advocate for GTM success and a Finance guardrail for ROI.

## What You'll Achieve

- Serve as the primary strategic finance partner to the CRO and CPO for GTM planning, forecasting, reporting, and key decision-making.
- Build trusted relationships with GTM leads and proactively surface insights, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and refine scalable reporting and analytical frameworks, including LTV/CAC and payback, to increase transparency and decision velocity.
- Partner with GTM to understand strategy, ensure adequate resourcing, and support tradeoffs in spend allocations.
- Partner with CX to understand staffing strategy and scale support efficiently.
- Prepare executive and Board-level review materials that translate complex financial and operational information into clear narratives.
- Partner with Accounting on accurate and timely reporting, variance narratives, and actionable recommendations.
- Drive process improvements through AI and automation to streamline workflows and strengthen planning discipline, forecast accuracy, and cross-functional alignment.

## Skills Needed

- 8+ years progressive experience in FP&A/Strategic Finance, investment banking, accounting, private equity, or a combination.
- Direct FP&A/Strategic Finance experience required, ideally supporting GTM/S&M.
- Strong analytical skills across financial and operational data, with strong Excel proficiency.
- Strong financial modeling in advanced Excel/Google Sheets, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to connect financial outcomes to operational drivers.
- Executive communication and presence, with concise structured storytelling and clear recommendations.
- High attention to detail, work quality, and truth-seeking.
- Low ego, hunger to learn, and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code, Gemini, or Codex is a plus.

## Compensation

For San Francisco, the estimated base salary range is $185,000 to $215,000 per year, with compensation depending on location, scope, complexity, experience, and expertise.
